Captain Henry specializes in backcountry charter fishing trips in the Everglades National Park just north of Key Largo. Backcountry or inshore fishing, basically means that we will be fishing the shallow waters of the Florida Bay between the Keys and the mainland. Most of the time, we will be in shallow waters fishing for species of fish that you do not find in the deep sea. The species of fish that we target are Snook, Speckled Sea Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Red Fish, Jack Crevalle, Tarpon, Triple Tail and several other inshore species. 

Backcountry fishing in the Keys is also a very scenic adventure as you will be fishing close to the mangroves where many different animals like birds, crocodiles, dolphins, manatees and other wildlife live. It’s not uncommon to see dolphins and manatees on most of my trips! Because we will not be out in the deeper water of the Atlantic Ocean, sea sickness is never an issue for most people.
